It had been a very quiet day. Not many birds about at all. I met up with Steve C. and we visited a number of sites around the Tame valley but with the strong NE wind continuing we failed to find much of any great interest. We went our separate ways as it was approaching that time of day when Cafes start closing, with no Pork pies to hand I needed something to ward off the bitter chill. Lunch over I headed for Cliff pool Kingsbury only to be re-routed by a message from Steve H. A Kittiwake was close inshore at Shustoke so it didnt take too long before Dave H. and myself , cameras in hand were in pursuit. As we walked around to the west end a pair of Little ringed Plovers were also seen on the shoreline.
