Not a Water Vole in sight but a walk along the river at Dosthill/Middleton lakes did produce a Chiffchaff with a small flock of Chaffinch. Little else to report though on a fine frosty morning. It was a short walk as there were other things to be done but I did manage to squeeze in a visit to The Griffon Inn near Shustoke. What a gem, great atmosphere and terrific choice of Ales including their own brew and a beer from the WheatherOak brewery, Studley.
